Intelligence Community

Mission: To gather the intelligence necessary to conduct foreign relations and national security activities. To collect and convey the essential information the President and members of the policymaking, law enforcement and military communities require. The Intelligence Community (IC) is comprised of 17 elements that work separately and collaboratively to conduct intelligence activities necessary for the conduct of foreign relations and the protection of the national security of the United States. The IC is led by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
